Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze, The Turtles and Shredder battle once again in everyone’s favourite cartoon movie turned big screen brilliance. This time our crime fighting, pizza loving quartet of reptile heroes fight for the last canister of the mysterious ooze that created them. Battling there old nemesis Shredder who wants the ooze for himself to create an army of his own evil mutants, our kick ass green dudes discover the hidden history of their own past that as the title suggests is centred around the ooze.

Who ever your favorite turtle is wither it be Leonardo The courageous blue masked Katana slashing leader of the turtles. Raphael the red masked fast tempered sai wielding bay boy. Michelangelo the orange masked pizza loving surfer dude whirling a pair of nunchaku. Donatello the purple masked inventor and technological genius armed with a bō staff. Lets also not forget Splinter there wise old sensei who could kick ass just as good as the rest! I loved them all as a kid and i love this movie as an adult. Its a light hearted fun film full of kick ass martial arts moves and amazing quotable one liners all the way through the movie. Cartwheels and crazy kicks back flips and more with the bud guy FOOT clan flying everywhere! Minor criticism is over the mutants that shredder creates Tokka and Razhar a snapping turtle and dog, there the hell are Rocksteady and Bebop? A Rihno and Warthog are much more menacing, not to mention the fact they are a fan favourite!! Other than that the movie is flat-out entertaining. The costumes on all the Turtles and the creatures are amazing and Jim Henson Studios (Muppets) does the animatronics again.

Why did I choose this movie Go ninja go ninja go that’s why! This is a fantastic follow-up to the original, which I may add I really should get watching! It has a cameo from Jedward loving Vanilla Ice whose Ninja Rap is possibly one of the greatest scenes in the history of cinema. I loved it no matter how badly he gets slammed for it by critics! Its not a big serious movie but it has laughs throughout which is what your watching it for. Fan or not I would say give it a view … turtles in a half shell TURTLE POWER!!
